It can be argued that player statistics are more important to baseball and baseball fans than any other sport. With the amount of downtime in the game, broadcasters and play-by-play announcers have needed something to fill the time with, and what better than to tell how many home runs the boy at the plate has hit this year versus last year.

I never even considered wanting to be here. I have always been a behind the scenes type of person and the camera tended to scare me. However, when I reached this school’s campus and asked “how can I major in baseball?”, I found a love that I never could have expected.
