A born and raised Georgia peach, Maddie is currently in her senior year pursuing a degree in Broadcasting at Jacksonville State University.
While in college, Maddie has immersed herself in the world of media. She spent a year as the features editor of the campus newspaper, The Chanticleer, and currently works as the radio producer for the Gamecock Sports Network.
Maddie was able to branch out under her Editor-In-Chief’s watch and report on baseball games and breaking news. Working in radio gave Maddie a new respect for how things are done on air and the time management skills needed to produce a show effectively. It also showed her how to adapt to unforeseen situations in rapid time so that shows continue to run smoothly.
Working in radio also brought many familiar faces, such as Eli Gold, the voice of the Tide, and Bill “Bubba” Bussey, from the Rick and Bubba Show, both of whom Maddie was able to work closely with and gain invaluable knowledge about the industry.
Maddie grew up with the Atlanta Braves the way many southerners grow up with college football, and her love for the game grew as she did. This led to her dreaming about becoming a play-by-play announcer for Major League baseball.
